Type R - WTF?

I just went out there, and didn't hear any air, but that doesn't mean that is not the case. I guess I will pull the subs out, re-seal and see what happens. I guess everyone agrees that is something with the box? Size, Air leak, etc...

how bout some pics?

1cf per sub is OK,do you have your amp on LP?

whats your HU set at,60-80hz?

Is the box sealed up well with caulk?

do you have a good seal from behand the subs as well?

show some pic, maybe we can spot an error

I tried the type-r 12 w/ the Alpine MRD-M1005 (1000W) in a sealed box, and it licked balls. I bet the 2cuft net ported box tuned to 32hz is 3-4x louder.

Port them, its the only way to go, but be prepared to eat up lots of space in the trunk... you need almost 6cuft to port 2 12's.

I am going to try the paper trick when I get home and see if there are any leaks. If there are, I will look to fix those and see if that changes anything. If that is not theproblem, I think I am going to look at getting a ported box for 'em. Thanks for all the feedback and help.
