Type R vs. L7

I was wandering which sub hits harder out of the L7 and the Type R , im looking to put 2 12"'s in my honda civic 01'.Which ever one is better what amp should I use and what box should I get

Not much to go by but i got an l7, but never heard type r actually, i heard there great but who knows.. The l7 hits loud and hard, hits the faster beats as well, gets low too but im only running my kenwood kac7285..

Type R is much more of a sound quality sub. If you want something that hits really hard, get the L7. If you want more sound quality, get the Alpine.

which type r's? the older or newer. the older ones are comparable to L5's not L7's. the new ones i can't comment on. but yea between the L5's and type r's, you can guess on the application. these were the two exact subs i was debating on 2 years ago but since my car rattles so much i'm glad i went with the spl.

o back to the question, depends on box size, the alpines will need a smaller box. and if you're going sealed definitely go alpines. look at other brands too
