i was looking at the alpine type r the other day and i was wandering what is the better sub 2+2 ohm and 4+4 ohm and what does that make it equal 2,4 ohm or 1,2 ohm

dual 2 or dual 4 are exactly the same, no sound difference. The only thing that you'll need to know with the ohms is what your amps stable at and what it puts out at each ohm. When u wire multiple subs up 2 ohm and 4 ohm get different loads so its basically just for ur amp.
