well judgement day has come. good bye type R. it was pwnt by a bx1605D @ 1 ohm for about 4 months... and this is the result. for the first month or so the gains were set pretty low, just a little over 1/4. then after a while i lowered them more because the subs would get stinky after a while, and the amps just about melted from the heat. the last 3 months or so the gains were a notch away from all the way down... and this is the result.

single 15" R on a bx1605D @ 1 ohm. i had 3 of the subs, and 3 of the amps.

thats how it was in the car. i had that for a while and it wasnt as loud as i thought and i just kept frying subs, so i got 6 15" Treo SSis and ran 2 subs per amp @ 1 ohm for a while and that still wasnt loud enough even though they were getting like 1/2 their RMS haha

well ya, i got tired of it sitting there and just cut it apart.

what was the enclosure specs the alpines were in?

unfortunately i was still a noob and got TCABs. they were like 4-5 cubes each and had 2 6" ports @ about 35hz.
