type r help...

hey guys, i just bought a type R and a alpine v-12 and a 1 farad capacitor... is there anyone that can help me wire it better? i have it hooked up right, but it just doesnt sound right... it doesnt sound as loud as it should.. like everyone is tellin me that it should hit super hard, but i had 2 12' pioneers that really wernt to good, and they hit alot harder... is there anyway that i should set it up so it could be louder?

Do you have a dual 2 or dual 4 ohm sub? How do you have it wired now? What is the power ratings on the amp? And what type of enclosure do you have it in now?

Do you have a dual 2 or dual 4 ohm sub? Its a 600 w rmsx1 at 2 ohm then 400w rmsx1 at 4 ohm.. How do you have it wired now?.. well its got the dual voice coil so i got it where the neg and possitive go into one side, then the links' go from one into the others.. if youve seen the hook up then you'd know what im talkin about.. What is the power ratings on the amp? And what type of enclosure do you have it in now?and i have it in a box like this
