Type of glue for carpeting....

hell no i used that super 77 crap and it didn't hold up too long, i built a box in the summer of 03 and last year it started unraveling... i used the headliner adhesive from autozone its like 5 bux a can and works a helluva lot better especially if you live in humid climates like here in new orleans... have had nothing but good luck with the stuff

 
if you have a cheap paint gun then go to a local upholstery shop and buy a quart of their contact glue. The stuff we use locally is called weldwood. It is laquer based so you can thin it a little with some laquer thinner from oreilly's but that is what they use for headliners and upholstery jobs and it is way better than any spray can stuff. Just like any other contact adhesive you should spray both sides and then let it dry for 5 to 10 minutes before you attach parts.
