Two sealed 12's doing high 40's?

Well I'm doing a seat riser, so I'll start there.

Best I can figure I'm going to have closer to 1.75 or **** close to 2 per sub, so it's not going to be stupid small. A guy locally has a very very similar setup, I havn't gotten to hear it yet but he's a SQ guy, so who knows.

I think a 46-47 is feasible - but we'll have to see.

Then again probably not, I think it's going to be louder to the ear vs the meter. Downfiring ftl on the mic.

BigBang - the car was sick, no doubt, even got good gas mileage. I bought the truck because I was supposed to be getting a boat this summer, and for one reason or another money didnt allow that I got just got flat *** ***** on that ordeal.

We'll see - once I get out of court in a coupla months I'm going to get everything.

Also electrical - there is a guy with a 225 amp alt out of a company local, supposed to be decent stuff. I'm probably going to pick that up and run four group 31 batts for those power hungry little bastards of amps

Anyone know if they'll run sub-1ohm? If so I'm going to run it at .5 nom per amp

I take it the riser is not high enough to do forward facing? But anyway with 1.75, it sounds more promissing. You could get low to mid, if everything is perfect. You could temporarily rip out the rear seats, build a nice strong forward or rear or up facing (experiment) 4 cube and 6 sided basic box and see if that puts you above your goal. Then you'll have a lot better data to plan with.

So, who here honestly thinks that two 12's sealed under the back seat of my 05 F-150 will put me near a 47-48 TL?
I want honest responses, and humor me with why it wont do it...

RD Alphas.

Sealed.

Two 12's.

Two PA3000DB's, just because I already have one and the second is cheap as hell, and gives sufficient power.

Kenwood 8019 HU.
I think this is possible but highly improbable.

Especially an F-150. They are hard to get loud on the dash.

2) 12s sealed under the back seat is not the best placement to build pressure on the dash.

Sealed with only 3000K per sub is not enough power to reach high 140 dBs.

Because of the power, cone area, box design, and vehicle. I can honestly predict 138-142 dB on the dash with the Term Lab.

Because of the shape of the F-150 you may be able to achieve 141-145 dB in the kick, Outlaw style.

Ah, Power acoustik amps,

so 1500w each sub at the most.

136-139 dB is my prediction.

I know 1 12 inch stereo integrity was said to hit 134 in a 1 cu ft box and a sundown 1000d throwing power at it. My vote is maybe, I have the same truck as you, and I am hoping to get into the 40s.

Well I was going to wall it. I decided against it, got tired of friends *****ing about me taking out my back seat, and besides *****es cant get ***** if I dont have room for them

Yes, it's the PA amps. they're not great, they're not horrible, I expect them to give mea round 1800w rms each, and that's in the range I want to be in, so I'm happy with it. I couldnt ***** for the price I got the first one at, and the second I think I can steal off someone pretty cheap.

For those who missed it, I will have four Group 31's and a 225 amp or so Alt. I'll be fine on Electrical.

I'm going to do a total of 100ft Knu Kolossus Flekz in wiring, maybe a tad less. Full pos and neg runs

And yes it will be hard, but I think it's possible. The Mag that the guy was talking about did a 43.x IIRC sealed on the dash, it was a tone though

We'll see, I'll get up some pics/vids/whatever with TL scores. If I cant do a 45+ outlaw, the back seats come out. To hell with the *****es they can sit in my lap

Look for a build log in the upcoming months(I know, it's a while, but I'm broke)
