Two Options: Which is optimal?

Man I like the dual 12's box.. The option 1 setup and I think the TC's would do nice in it.. Havent heard a setup in a camaro but my GF's 85 ***** am has a hatch just like that.. Its jammed with 3 PA FUBARs sealed in a jl stealthbox pushed by a 1606 and it wangs real nice believe it or not.. I was impressed for the price I paid for it.. Rattling isnt terrible.. either.. but thats on a ***** am not a Camaro
Thanks for your information man. I am pretty sure I am going to go with the dual 12 application.

It just irks me a bit giving away 100 percent of my storage area.

What do you have to store? I mean, theres plenty of space in the back seat, and theres always the front seat too.

I know, it makes sense.

Usually I go camping a lot in the summer... aka bring stuff like tents and what have you. I usually drive with people too.

I guess I'll get them to drive and bring the crap with then in their rides //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm assuming rear window tinting is a must with those shiny amps staring right throguh them! haha

if it makes u feel better I dont have any storage space either.. box and amp takes it up.. and god forbid if a box of corn flakes punctures my surround I would be pissed.. I just use tha back seat.. and if passengers complain just be like"its my car.. either walk or hold some shit and shut up"

how much is that box? didnt see a price

Mine is tinted 20%, and with the dark carpet inside you cant really see them at night, and i usually throw a black towel over them during the day when I am parked.

And the box I have is extremely simple to remove. Mine is a little different than the subthump boxes, but i cant see it being any more difficult to remove. So if it comes down to it, take out the box when you go camping.

I gotta get my girl's shit tinted asap.. a $270 amp sitting in the back glaring thru crystal clear glass.. man thats an *** kicking waiting to happen.. Got to get it on the priorities list

270 dollars. So I am assuming 300 with shipping or so.

Nice thing is I already have the amp and subs... just need the enclosure, and honestly, I do not have the time or resources once I moved to build one.

If you pay that much, in my opinion, you are getting ripped. I paid $150 shipped for mine. But I guess if thats what they charge thats what you have to pay.

Sounds like what I would do.

Right on, I am not convinced to go with the dual 12 set up.

I guess I can keep asking questions though lol:

Can you drill the amps right onto the rear top deck where most people do, or should you make an amp rack, aka a thin slab of mdf to set atop and then drill into and hide wires under? Last thing I'd want to do is drill into my car.

yeah man I would def look into having one built.. would be cheaper and wang harder too.. There are alot of capable builders on here with great pricing
I have been a regular member on CAF for some years now, but I am new here. Who are the reputable box builders on this site that I am not aware of?

I don't go on CAF as much anymore because it is starting to ****, honestly.

put mdf under the carpet and mount the amp to that using a special star screw or something fo theives will have to take amp, board, carpet, etc to steal it.. also a nice way to keep stock appearance and have amp mounted securly

jblanford, belunt, lil maniac are all good.. and stratusrt1 on ROE.com is good.. Just start a WTB thread and the builders will chime in and ask to see some work

I used small self tapping screws to attach my amp to the deck. You need to be careful, however, because the gas tank is right below it.

And yes you can use MDF to build something. If it was mine, I would make it so that it covers the entire rear deck, so it looks like a part of the car, and the wires can run underneath it, and it would blend nicely.
