Two 4 ohm DC lvl 2 to 1 ohm stable

did you check the resistance of your dmm? Touch the pos and neg prongs together and see if it says 0. If it doesnt say 0 when you do this, then minus what ever shows up from when you test each coil. Im guessing when you touch the prongs together they will probably show .4, meaning that when you test the sub coils its giving you 4.4 ohms for each. But thats my theory.

Yeah I said I did and it came up with about .8 Tomorrow I'm taking out all the wiring, measure the coils again and checking the resistance of each wire.
