First post so hello all! I usually try real hard to do things myself without asking but I’m totally stumped on this one. I am unsure if I should be using my head unit or amp to tune my music? I also have a powered subwoofer that is most likely tuned wrong also.

my setup:
HU: Sony MEX-XB100BT
Speakers: Kenwood Excelon XR 1800P
Amp: SO M100-2
Powered Subwoofer: RF P300-12T

Currently I have the amp set to “full” and am using the LPF and HPF adjustments from the head unit. From my understanding, if the amp is set to full then my head unit is basically tuning the sound, correct? Should my LPF on my head unit be set at 60hz and my HPF set at 100hz? I know it’s “all up to me” but in all honesty I can’t figure out what sound I like most lol.

I may have missed it, but do you have sound deadener on the doors? If not that could be why you're lacking midbass.
