con- harder to build and time consuming

A TL is a very efficient enclosure, gives very good output and sound quality while requiring much less power.

The enclosure ends up being very large, especially if tuning low vs. a traditional ported alignment.

In a 1:1 ratio TL the port is equal in area along it's entire legnth. As far as would it be better, that's really subjective. I really liked the results I got vs. a ported alignment, but a TL is not the ideal enclosure for every subwoofer.

Yeah thats exactly what I want to build! Something just like that! A box for 2 12"L7's and one for a 18" nightshade!

This is what I'm talking about but for two L7's!

That is not a Transmission Line, its a parallel tuned 6th order.

the 6th order is almost like 2 boxes with different airspaces on each side of the cone basically

Pretty much to peak at a couple of different frequencies, not so much for sound quality.
