Honda + Subs = Rattles :(
This is a design that I've been working on for boomintahoe. Figured I'd post some pictures and get your opinons. It still needs a little work to integrate the plate amp into it. I'll have to make a separate chamber on the back for it.
Anyways, this enclosure is for a single 8" Dayton subwoofer. It will be used in a home theater setup. This enclosure is a transmission-line style enclosure and has a line length of 11.5' (yes, that's feet, not inches) and is tuned to 25Hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
Laying down some guidelines... this gets tedius:crap:
Port line walls mapped out... all 11.5 feet of it:crazy: Pain in the *** measuring out all of those ****ed 45 degree braces...
Walls put up
Hole for sub.
Just realized though that the dayton 8" driver has a big *** magnet assembly and has a 4.5" mounting depth. Looks like I'll have to figure out something with the baffle or the sub will have to be ran inverted because the port is only 2" wide.
