Alright Im a newb at this audio stuff but that doesnt mean I dont enjoy bumping as much as the next guy.

Here's what I got

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Kicker-Mono-Channel-Class-D-Amplifier-06ZX7501-/sem/rpsm/oid/145725/catOid/-13641/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Kicker-Dual-12-Subwoofer-Enclosure-Package-DCVR12-/sem/rpsm/oid/117529/catOid/-13641/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

and Legacy 4 channel

I had circuit city hook everything up but now I wanna upgrade stuff like speaker's lol.

I have stock speaker's inside the car" 97 TBird.

I have 300$ to spend on upgrading my system can anybody give me some advice on what to do, links prices would be helpfull. IInstall is not included in the 300$ ALso I have a headunit that is over 6 year's old does this affect how my subs bump? Is my amp/subs good or peices of crap?

sell the legacy, buy some components for the front, use stock rears for rear fill.buy a nice at least 50x2 or more for the fronts, use the headunit to power the rears.

might want to upgrade the cd player also.

find a kicker 2 or 4 channel

components for front

new cd player.

look in classifieds, you could probably find all you need there.

i would just get a solid 2 channel amp in favor over the legacy 4ch and get some components for the front. decide weither or not to do kicks or go into the door. rearfill imo is a near waste

I appreciate the help guys, but I dont understand what all of that meant. What are component's? If someone has time to post me link's with price's it would help alot.

You figured out your budget. Now you need to figure out what you want out of a car stereo. A lot of people on this board are into SQL (Sound quality). If that's your goal, do a lot of reading and maybe try your hand at this:

http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38665

Get some components (separate tweeters and woofers). Then get some sound deadaning materials and a better head unit to go with your system when you get more money. Well placed ibudget speakers sound better than high quality speakers mounted in your doors facing each other like most factory mounting locations.

If you want to be loud and obnoxious, maybe somebody else can point you in the direction for an SPL (Sound pressure) system. That stuff is popular at import shows, for reasons I don't understand.

Read up on it before dropping cash- there's lots of good books out there and websites.

my $.02
