Tired, close to breaking things.

try bridging the +12v to the remote with the HU wire unplugged. It's just a process of elimination. In fact here is a good way to narrow down which end has the problem... Buy a 3.5mm stereo to RCA adapter (like $3 at radioshack) and plug it into a portable CD player then into your speaker amp's inputs and then bridge the +12v to the rem so the amp turns on and play something..

If it plays without the squeal it's coming from the HU outputs or the rem wire... if it still squeals it has something to do with the amplifier's power wiring or speaker wiring... It could even be the amp itself?

That way you can narrow it down to either the source is bad or the amp is putting out a dirty signal...

source is bad. :S

That much is known, Ive unplugged the antennae and wired the HU ground directly to the coil and still had a squeal + static, so then I plugged the antennae back in and still had a squeal, but no static.

If anyone has AIM, Yahoo, MSN, ICQ. anything... I need some real-time responses.

I just made an odd discovery, the alternator whine seems to only affect the Front output RCA's, I plugged the RCA's going to the 2-channel amplifier into the Rear output RCA's and I recieved no noise no alternator whine.

Im not to sure what you mean by you grounded the HU to the coil, but id do a totally new ground somewhere by the kickpanel, and if you have to, just run a ground wire directly to the batt -. Id also check the actual engine and batt ground, who knows with ford.......

It could also be the HU, but IIRC Pioneers were the only ones with noise issues.

Well basically I grounded the HU to the battery...

Did not eliminate the noise, the only thing that did eliminate the noise was switching the RCA cables friom front to rear output which has no sound issues so far.

So now the ground wire coming from the HU runs behind the dash and through a grommet in the firewall and alongside the power cable to the battery which it is screwed tightly to prevent it loosening and falling off. The ground wire has been electrical taped to the power wire so the blue color won't stick out and the wire won't be loose and swaying.

The RCA cables from the 2-channel amplifier is plugged into the rear pre-outs. There is no distinct sound difference between the front and rear except for the lack of alternator whine and static.

I also cleaned up the wiring behind the CD player by electrical taping the bulk wires tightly and zip tying any other loose and excess wires to save space and make the placement of the HU into the dash easier. Everything seems to be in place, the noise is gone.

A new midbass woofer is being shipped in for 31.25 directly from Phoenix Gold.

Sorry if i missed it but did you take a cd/mp3player directly to the amps terminals to see if there was any noise?
If there still is then its the amp, if there aint then its the RCAs/HU.
Yes I did.

Did that, unplugged RCAs.

Etc.

sounds like things are basically summed up... though you should probably figure out if it's the RCA itself or the output....
Well I believe its the output for some odd reason. Didn't really solve the problem like I would have liked to. Sorta odd solution to an odd problem.

Well it'd be easy to test... just swap the RCA's between the sub and comp amp and see if the static moves with it... Though if the static IS the output you would have a definite warranty issue, but I doubt you could make that work with buying it online...

Well, the switching of RCA cables solved the issue but the for some reason now, the music will skip(actually the volume of the speakers will go down and up real quickly while the subwoofers will keep playing as normal).

Another issue I encountered today on the test run was the HU turning off randomly again on a hard-hitting song and one moment where the subwoofers turned off/the mid and highs became staticy and then the subwoofer came back in shortly while the HU kept performing as always(amplifier went into protect mode maybe? but why? Ive played it much louder).

I pretty much electrical taped the whole bulk wires coming from the cd player and etc but that shouldn't be an issue, nothing should be loose, I will double check.

Static becomes directly from the front pre-out RCA's and front pre-outs RCA's only.

Also when the subwoofers hit hard I can smell the wood of the enclosure, odd yes..

Edit: The box terminal fell out, placed it back in and all problems seemed solved.
