Well basically I grounded the HU to the battery...Im not to sure what you mean by you grounded the HU to the coil, but id do a totally new ground somewhere by the kickpanel, and if you have to, just run a ground wire directly to the batt -. Id also check the actual engine and batt ground, who knows with ford.......
It could also be the HU, but IIRC Pioneers were the only ones with noise issues.
Well I believe its the output for some odd reason. Didn't really solve the problem like I would have liked to. Sorta odd solution to an odd problem.sounds like things are basically summed up... though you should probably figure out if it's the RCA itself or the output....
Well it'd be easy to test... just swap the RCA's between the sub and comp amp and see if the static moves with it... Though if the static IS the output you would have a definite warranty issue, but I doubt you could make that work with buying it online...Well I believe its the output for some odd reason.
