Mine cost $160 but i was the first customer in this guys new shop so he cut me a great deal, said he would usually charge 220 for a truck like mine with so many windows. Got 5% all the way around and it came stock with 15% on the back so i just had them go over it. I really dont think its dark enough on the fronts and want to go back and get 15% on the front added and 30% on the windshield. Meh...

I think 5% would be too dark for me at night and I don't want to attract that much attention from the police.

5% is gay and not needed.
at least look for a metal film. and not a cheep dyed film.

So metal > dyed. I've seen Llumar and 3M when searching for good brands.

I didn't mean that they were tinted necessarily, but when they are metered they come to like 77%.

Windshield strips are dumb, and look ghetto.

Tint will meter a bit darker depending on the windows. Usually within 2-4%. Some mercedes with the blue glass will meter as much as 6-7% darker.

Your truck should fall within the 2-4%. SO a 30% should meter around 26-28%.

Only get a metallized film..half metal/half color dye. 100% metal, whatever you want..just not 100% dyed.

I prefer LLumar ATR series film(it's the only thing I will use on personal vehicles)

Sure they will help when the sun is at the right position during the day..Id rather wear sunglasses or flip down my visor than have a strip on my windshield though.

strip over the top is gay imo, i wouldnt do anything over 20%, ive got 5% and can see just fine out the back at night

ya man what ever you do don't get 35% i have it on my fronts right now and am taking it back to get darker. i think im just going to go with 5%. just go dark and good quality the first time. you wont regret it. 15% all around looks good. that what i was going to with but i already have 5% on the back so im just going to match it with the front windows.

5% on the back windows and 15% on your drivers and passengers window. and a front strip if you want. I forgot to tell the guys i wanted a front strip, im still happy with everything else though.

its hard to tell, but in my avatar you can see my extended cab window and back window a little bit, thats 5% tint, during the middle of the day and its still dark, but you can see through it easily.
