Been doing a lot of research, and been looking for a decent mid and tweet that wont break the bank, i was going with the AA Carbon Mids, but the price is a little high. My doors are completely deaden, and plan on sealing all the holes, mlstrass is going to help me mount these and set it up properly. I was thinking about this combo:

Mid:

Tweeter:

I want decent bass with clear high, nothing over the top or l337 lol.

I don't have any experience with those particular tweeters, but I would spend a little more on a decent large-format tweeter (if you have the room).

It'll give you a lot more flexibility with your crossover point and they typically are able to handle more power in a more controlled, less "harsh" manner.

I was planning on getting a Nine.4, and thats 65x4 @ 4ohms, ill just adjust the gain moderately. But right now i am on PE looking at other tweeters, space is limited, but have some wiggle room! I want to place the tweeter in the hole i already made when i had my DLS comps. Btw here is my door:

Also the other amp i might use is the mb quart dsc4125, i can run the mids and tweets at 8 ohms with still plenty of headroom. Need some answers soon, gonna be making my purchase soon!

As little as possible, but i already decided, getting the Dayton RS 7" mid in 8 ohm, and the Morel MDT12 in 8 ohm as well. The mid is 60rms, and the tweeter is 80rms, and the Discus amp is 125x4 @ 4 ohms, so at 8 ohms i should see enough power to make these babies shine.

Also my headunit is a real powerhouse as well, one of JVC finest headunits ever made. Might connect my stock sub just for a little extra umph.

Total for the mid and tweet shipped is $121 from PE, so yup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

okay a little revisions i made, the mid i chose is not good on the high end, and the tweeter is not too high as well. so how bout this?

so how do they sound?
i like the vifa combo better, and ill fit that ****en tweeter if i have too lol

They get delivered later today or tomorrow, dont have them yet.

I like those Vifa's at PE as well, those are identical to the 6.5's Soundstream used to use in their $500 Exact comps in the late 90's (except SS made Vifa paint the frames blue).

From what I understand those were very highly rated in the late 90's.
