so is the end goal going to be adding spiders to raise the FS, and letting go of some of the low end response?

It's only got to last until a secret item gets here. Then It's new box, center aero, and fresh recones.

As far as I know there were never any parameters taken. Yes that may be a side effect though but at 10k+ per pr. ya cant really tell. LMAO!!

Honestly I went with 6 spiders this time because of a cone taking off on one with 5 spiders. I may just go back to 5 again and give that another try.

I'm looking to try several combinations so If ya got ideas hit me up. I'm actively looking for a thicker surround as well as slightly taller to maximize excursion.

im guessing the problem is just too much power. ive never been able to make a sub do that. when you cut it out post pics of the coil...i bet its pristine.

really thats all you can do is stiffen it up. as far as getting different parts....i wouldnt know where to begin.

tinsels are an easy fix...........triple joint, not so much

ask rusty whats the maximum excursion of the spiders, and is it greater, or less than the limits of the surround.

Rusty says that he's only seen this kind of excursion from 2 guys with lvl 5's. Fortunately I'm a vid nut so I document it!

Too much accelerator made the surround come up? Maybe you should try shoe goo or DD's wondergu for the surround. Triple joint looks like it needs some extra nylon rope/CA glue lovin

goop goop and more goop son! this will work best on the surround and 5k pound psi epoxy for the spider landing and i bet that bish will stand a lot more.

hmm taller high roll surround....3 medium stiff spiders 4 extra stiff spiders

Frank took his first breath after surgery last night. LOL

Just need some epoxy to glue surround to basket and he'll be up making vidz in no time!

If your experimenting I say try a thin high roll surround so you can maximize the cone area. So much seems lost to the surround.

Dave thats def. something we are looking into. I need approx. .25-.5in more travel on the surround to keep from failure.
