if you strap them you will come out with an 8 ohm load if I'm not mistaken. They give out 500 bridged @ 4 ohms.

Then what should I look for in a dual 4 ohm sub?

I really like the kronos but the TC sub is 2 ohm. Who carry's the best dual 4 ohm?

wait. now i'm confused. this is the same sub.

I thought it was 4 ohm dvc but then it list it as 2 ohm

My explorer with a 260 amp alt is capable of only 1700 watts rms so I would like to use the most efficient amps possible.

I might be wrong but doesn't running at a higher impedance put more of a strain on your electrical system because it's more work to push 1000 watts on an 8 ohm load than it would be at 2 ohms?

You may be right about that. I'm gonna have to do some research.

well, I'm looking for a super tight response because I listen to a lot of electronic music. Plus I want the best sq I can get from a sub

I'd say get the TC or Audiopulse and run a Sundown Saz-1500 or something. Maybe AQ1200, DD m1a, or something along those lines.
