If anyone has any suggestions or cheaper options that will do the job just as well please let me know

Capacitors dont do squat. That 30 Farad cap you have don't do 1/4 of the work that HC 800 does. Sell the cap and buy another HC 800.

good thing I didn't buy the cap yet. Only items I've bought are the wire and batteries

yea it should be a good setup, caps are basically just audiobling (that make our system look like a bomb...) but they are pretty useless, and i agree, save your money and get another small battery. but yes 1 run of 1/0 AWG should be good enough for now, run the 1/0 AWG from front battery, to the back batteries, then if you need to add another run of say... 4AWG for your 4 channel, you can just run it from your rear batteries.

what type of isolaters do you guys reccomend? Also what's the best way to keep batteries locked down in your trunk? I was thinking about some of those ratcheting ccargo straps.

The cap works and will help. People say they dont work and are not worth it but they are wrong I use to have dimming lights and got a cap and it was gone after that. My friend also used on with his 2 hifonic amps. THEY DO WORK

I have a few more good questions that i've tried searching.

1. how do you guys crimp your 0 gauge ring terminals- a vice?

2. I also want to run a voltage gauge pod for voltage. Where will be the most accurate place to take a reading from?

3. How do you guys stop your batteries from sliding around the trunk?
