Whether you say "ricer" or "riceboy" they are both racist, where do you think the term "ricer" came from? Gimme a break, thats stupid. If I was asian and someone called my car a ricer I'd quickly "rectify" the situation.

Calling an inanimate object, in this case a car, a name, is not racist. No matter how you would like to approach the subject, it is the vehicle being called ricer. I use the term around asians without worry, and I watch asians do it too.

Because you don't like it, doesn't mean that calling the vehicle anything is racist...

Rectifying the situation, which by your hinting obviously involves brute force, will get you nowhere other than jail. Smooth move...

lighten up man....a ricer is a car....no offense to the person unless they are overly sensitive....the term may have originally been used as a term that described asians since most ricers were owned and produced by asians...but the term is no longer used as a deragatory term....so in essence....lighten up...the word is not meant to be deragory....if it was why would other people that have ricers call them ricers????

I totally agree there. When I started this post, it wasn't an attack on anyones ethnic backgrounds. It was more about the crap that is posted about others "free will" choices in what type of car they drive. "Ricer" is by no means a derogatory word, it is just slang because most import cars are manufactured or designed in Asian countrys. Peace out guys

The term "Rice-Boy" is meant to be a derogatory term. But not racially derogatory. Some people might say that regardless of what this disclaimer says, it makes Asians look bad. Well, I hate to break it to these people but asians are not the only people on this planet who eat rice. Everyone eats rice. White people eat rice. Black people eat rice. Native Americans? They eat rice. Europeans eat rice!! And, if you open your eyes, you might notice that a whole lot of the rice-boys out there aren't even asian! The "rice" really refers to their cars. It's not about their race, it's about their attitude!

ive always thought a ricer was car someone has the stickers and mybe one of them loud(and in my opion shit sounding) muffs and thinks thier car is a race car

in words they make it seem like its what we call a hot rodd but its just all looks?!

First off I am not racist, anyways now that, that is cleared up. I think it is pathetic that people get offended by term as harmless as "ricer", if that bothers you I am curious as to how you live in this world that we do. Many things are said in different context, and most people use the term "ricer" jokingly. Its not as if are saying "haha you have a chink mobile" or something so give me a break. I joke about imports all the time, my friends joke about my domestic cars all the time, GET OVER IT AND GROW UP! Its part of life, sometime you will have to pull your d$@k from between your legs and stop ******* on your moms nipple a learn to deal with the real world.

I just wanted to say I really respect jlaine (josh, right?)

he is the voice of maturity on this board and I have never seen him flame anyone or stoop to their level regardless of the situation

I could say the same thing about ramos

this boards a better place b/c of ppl like you
