thicker mdf better box?

so im buildin a box for my xcon

and was wonderin if i should maybe double the 3/4 board?

to a 1' and 1/2 board glued together? what would this do if anything?

yea i kno alright well how would 1 1/2 inch sound vs 3/4?

Properly braced 3/4" is all you need for 99% of boxes out there. Maybe double up the baffle if you're messing with some big, heavy woofers and a pretty large box.

Bracing > multiple thickness. Brace well and use double thick baffle if you have very heavy woofers.

I have a BL 18 in 7 cubes with no baffle.. just used 4 threaded metal rods bolted down through the box..used washers to seal the hole of the rod.. i haven't seen my box flex yet

thicker means less flex. hell mine is braced inside with 2x4's
