I'm building a sealed box for two solobaric 8's. Is a divider nessessay?
Pros/cons?
Pros/cons?
true, but the divider also doubles as bracing, it is good.Separate chambers is optimum for sealed. The only downside is a little more wood and work in construction.
Unless you're wanging really hard, that other sub isn't going to tear itself apart by being in a 2ft^3 box instead of 1ft^3...and the bad sub would act like a passive radiator anyways. Of course, I don't really run my equipment to the point of having to worry about it blowing for any reason, so I never use separate chambers for anything.you do it and one sub goes out you can still use the other..
