YES THATS RIGHT FOLKS.....ITS ANOTHER TCAB BOX REVIEW

Mark came over today and delivered this awesome box today! I impatiently waited his arrival for I have been waiting for 2 months to get some tunes again...but I have to say it was well worth it. Slams harder than this setup I had...... http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=124117&highlight=toyota+avalon+log and with about 1500rms less. I am using a HiFonics Brutus 2006D. No upgrade on the alt...that will always add more power.

This box pouuuunds. It hits low very well and/ well into 40 Hz it plays nicely. It also hits with power on quicker beats...would work very well with metal as far as that goes...but I like the punch. Those ports must make a big diff in these boxes...looks great..sounds great....It flexes my roof nicely, and caves it in at the same time!!! Ill get some pics ASAP.

The only thing im dissapointed in is the way the speakers sound!!!! frusterates the hell out of me cause it should be loud as hell!

Oh and I cant forget... Type R Powa!

Just got home from work....ears ringin....God I love it!

The only thing is that I have to say im dissapointed with is my speakers...they cant hang with the bass...and they should be able to.

I have 2x 6 1/2" alpine Type R COMPONENT sets....on pair in the kicks....other speakers in the doors with tweets on the dash being powered by a hifonics Zeus...110rmsx4 at 2 ohms...im running at almost full gain!! to even get some decent sound when im poundin.

Here is the weird part....When my car is off and I test the terminals..it says 2 ohms...I turn the car on...it says 6......??????????????/ anyone?

I'm almost all set to build a ported box for my single 1042 (I'm running aprox. 600rms @ 2ohms). Before I begin I'm curious to see what some of you experienced guys would recommend for a sql setup. I was thinking 1.8cubes before displacement tuned to 32hz. Any other suggestions, as this is my 1st time dealing with this particular sub.

I plan on getting a DVC Type R (4ohms). Will it be safe to run it at 850 RMS at 2ohms all the time? The last thing I want to do is blow a brand new sub. Or should I play it safe and get an amp that puts out 500 RMS at 2ohms?
