I assumed i was looking at 8s. 1" p-p is pretty good for 6.5".They aight. The box they came in states 1" peak to peak travel. That's pretty decent for a 6.5" speaker.
That solid vapor barrier looks much nicer than what cars usually have, the plastic sheet with glue around the edges. It's hot as the dickens out there but I said screw it. I got the Earthquake Shallow Subs (midbass) mounted in the doors. Speaker changes in this thing take minutes. Super easy.

Their fs is 39hz. I don't have them playing under amp power yet. They are quieter than the factory door speakers as I figured they would be. The factory speakers got vocals through them... I don't hear vocals through these Earthquakes. Their response is 35 - 1,000hz. I am going to have them crossed over between 80hz - 400hz to start. I am going to be hitting them with 120w each from channels 5&6 of the JP77 amp. I will use a -5db 1Khz tone to set the gain for the midbass. That solid vapor barrier looks much nicer than what cars usually have, the plastic sheet with glue around the edges.
And the new door speakers look sweet too. Do shallow subs in doors perform well? I imagine since they don't need to actually play sub frequencies, you don't need a real enclosure. And subs have bigger coils/power handling and lower fs. Let us know how it sounds.
I had to take a trip to ACE Hardware. Apparently I only had one terminal screw for my DD Audio tweeters. Now I have some cool black screws!!!
