Featured The Equinox that Rocks?

That was a pain in the arse. Looking at a JS Alternator and it says a 1/2" - 1" shorter belt. I used a Gates belt when the car shredded the one it had. I found two part numbers after an hour of searching. I guess I will order both belts so I have them here. I will probably have the Alternator powder coated in orange. 320a

Just ordered the carpet for the boards. Should match the box and cargo area very nicely.

Dig this crap! I may have to find some traditional shallow speakers for my mid-bass needs. These earthquakes keep smashing into the door grills. That's the vibration I have been hearing. Well I tracked it down today. The non-conventional cone sticks up higher in the middle and it is very solid. I was playing some Alicia Keys and as soon as the bass hit my doors sounded like a mini jack hammer on plastic. I am curious is the center of the CDT shallow speakers move.

lol, that peak to peak travel is too good

maybe you could try shortening the rings they're mounted on to move them deeper into the door. idk if there's room for that, but it could move them away from the grille

I'm looking at some Scosche rings... they are maybe 1/2" shorter lol. Hybrid Audio has some Unity speakers that look perfect though.

I believe this is the layout of the top board I am going with. That JP630 makes it HEAVY!! I am going to loop in the 1/0 cable into #1 or #2 on the block into the JP630 then back into the block through another fuse to the amp on the lower board. So 300a relay up front to the block with fuse (300a) into the JP630 then back into the block through another fuse (300a) into the amplifier. Should be well protected.

I am almost there... in the mean time I did some math and got an estimate of SPL potential for the two Tropo XL's based off their sensitivity, cabin gain and enclosure. Here is what I am hoping to achieve.

Two Tropo XL 10's in 3.1cu.ft. tuned to 32hz and the JP77 amplifier.
