The annoyance of car audio install

I got a big roll from my uncle for free //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif... I have enough for 1 layer throughout on the floor
EDIT: nice it looks like the jute is almost as good, just alot thicker and harder to work with
Cool...I love free!!

THe carpet padding is not hard to work with at all. I just used a little Super 77 to get it to stick a little. Since it will be underneath everthing you have to watch out for it getting too thick and not being able to get the OEM stuff on over it. I put too much in my wheel wells and could barley get the panels back on.

I have ~20 ft^2 left over if you want it. I also have ~15ft^2 of SS OverKill left too.

leftover jute? I have plenty for a layer which will be plenty thick... it's tempting though. I REALLY need to do the rear quarters, they are bare sheetmetal under the panels... but I'm lazy... It'll be a pain to get liquid to work on a vertical surface.... thanks for the offer

as for making it all fit together I'm going to avoid spots where I need to attach panels or seats...

I assume you're not putting the jute on the doors...

It looks good. If you're able, maybe you could make angled baffles on the doors to get the mids closer to on-axis.

I'm redoing the baffles this weekend hopefully....

ohh and I made a mistake... I put my bucket of spectrum under my 4Runner to keep it out of the rain and ran it over on the way out... it blew up in a nice pattern... but I don't think I got any on my truck and I only lost 1/4 of a gallon... oops... good thing I live in an apartment

more pics.... lots of wires but the jute is down... and my oops with the spectrum... I couldn't find the can in the garbage but it was ****ed up

I did this about a month ago.. the gray mat stuff is anti-fatigue matting from home depot... I used it basically as a medium to carry the liquid sound deadner

the small group of holes near the top middle is for the door handle... and thanks...

no, down at the bottom. looks like 1 1/2" diameter hole.
it was a mistake I made the first time around.. that is going bye bye this weekend with the new baffles, I'm just going to extended them down that far and replace that part of the panel...

Wow, I just put the carpet and seats back in and everything went smooth as butter... that was nice for a change.... I'll know tonight how the sound deadning worked.

what stuff?

I imagine you mean the jute... I got it for free from my uncle and he bought it at a used carpet store... he's as cheap as they come so I imagine it's not too expensive from a used capret store... hehe he calls the lady that owns the place "the caprpet whore"
