ok here's my question:
in general, when you hear someone bumpin down the street you can normally hear them from a block or two due to the loudness.
....then you have the other type of bass. the kind where you don't hear anything, you kind of just think to yourself "wtf is that"... as the vehicle gets closer things start to shake and you can tell its just some deep DEEP bass.
now is this a combination of SPL and low tuning, or is this just basically based on size of sub, enclosure, etc?
i guess what i'm gettin at is... what creates each sound? loudness is one thing, but that rumble/deeeep bass that you FEEL before you hear... is that just pure SPL or more of a frequency type thing (ie the sub going very low)?
