I was going to drill a hole in the floor of my SUV behind/under the rear seats where they fold down and just sand it down real good and bolt it. This is for 2000WRMS. SHould i look elsewhere for a ground?

sorry, dont wanna threadsteal, but i thought i would post here instead of make a whole new thread.

Ford SUVs IIRC are built on a ladder frame. Drill a hole big enough for wire and grommet, go through the floor and bolt it to a clean spot on the frame itself. Spray it with undercoat when you're done to keep it from corroding. Run a ground from your battery to the fram under the hood as well. Same deal with prepping the spot. Another option rather than drilling big enough for the wire itself is to drill for a bolt to go all the way through the floor. ground all your amps to the end of the bolt inside the car and then ran a wire from the outside end of the bolt to the frame. Smaller hole and no wire going through sheetmetal so no grommet needed.
