Are you serious???

in fact thats worse the RE, that's more than $1000 more than the XXX
u also have to understand something...theres more folks in the ht,pro audio market that will buy that vs folks in the car audio market

yea it would be nice for them to build subs that cater to the diy crowd but they will loose money if they did

I completely understand, I know about the HT market, but the other companies that have speakers that cost that much are known by many in the High end home audio market. What gets me is that they stated 50-100% mark up, this is more like 100-200% mark up

I wonder where you get this estimate? I mean, are you privy to their total unit sales per year, including OEM stuff? I doubt it.
Seriously, think about it...

They've done manufacturing for other folks for decades. They have had contracts with MAJOR players in the audio market. The only people we know of who are buying them online (as TC Sounds, not as some other brand) are the ones essentially on the various car audio forums... so I'd say prolly a few hundred people to a few thousand at absolute max. Heck, if you looked at their forums, they weren't even all that busy.

I'm not saying your totally wrong, as I don't know, but I seriously doubt you've got the background info to spout off numbers like that. I dunno, though, maybe you do.

Care to share why you hold that opinion?
thats why i said i'd think.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

specifically directing it at their online sales, and the amount of people who know of them outside forums and the like. It does seem likely. all their other productions is a whole different ballpark, and I'm not even going to assume where all the profit comes and goes.

just my opinion though, unless you can prove me wrong, ill stick with it.

Prices that high actually make the ridiculously overpriced Critical Mass subs look like a bargain.

That insane.
