I had one in a ported box that was powered by a POS Sony 1000 from walmart, and it sounded pretty good. They are rated at what 500rms. figured the sony may have put out 600-700.

traded it with mrwigglezdj on here and he used a Funkin Audio 400 on it and that amp puts out about 400-600 rms depending in the ohms.

Whats the coil on it? I have a usamps xt4000 that would match good with it. 220 shipped

I've got an older MTX 801d pushing my single 12" 8500 series sub and it sounds pretty good. I've also got an MTX TC6001 that has barely been used at all that I would sell or trade for a nice 2 channel amp. The 6001 is 600 watts rms at 2ohm's and is underated so it actually does a little more than that. Here's a link to it, http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/amplifiers/TC6001.cfm

Is your sub the single voice coil or the dual voice coil one??

I ran that sub for a while....tried a Memphis 500D and also an MTX 801D

both were plenty - that sub doesnt need more than the 500w it is speced for
