TangBand 8" questions

Im thinking about getting 3 of these, but i cant find any recomended enclosure specs. What size and type of box do you guys think will work best? Also do you guys think 2 crystal cmp8's would out do 3 of the tangband 8s as far as loudness goes?

to design a box use subwoofertools.com. The comp 8's mite play a bit louder,but there gona need more power. I dont think u can go wrong w/ the tang bangs..as far as bang for buck. Tang Bangs are the way 2go :~>

Well as far as price goes if I buy that one cmp8 thats floating around this board and then one new one, it would cost around the same as buying three of the tangbands new...

I heard the CMPs were not that loud at all, atleast in the great 8 challenge done a few years back. They have great SQ though...

If your just looking for loudness, try a cube each net tuned to around 32....

to my special warrior,

i have 2 8 inch TB's i'm gettin installed today. they're goin in a 1.7 cu ft box tuned to 28hz and given 150 watts each of a jbl 300.1 i'll give a review as soon as i can. in the meantime, go over to forum.carstereos.org and look for a thread called 'the great 8 challenge'.

I have that same exact sub in my room, off 100W RMS in .75ft^3 at 32hz. It lacks alittle of the higher end bass region but in the low end...it simply rocks.
