Tahoe wall design

Can you explain this a little more? Does it still apply in sealing off a trunk?

ill add to this by stating.

1 finding the resonance frequency is very important.

2 determining the wave length at the resonance frequency in which the front wave reaches the mic is important when using a 4th order or 6th order alignment because of the phase of the rear wave. the rear wave is 180 degrees out of phase. its the reason you free air a speaker and get cancellation.

3 the rear wave has to travel 2X the distance the front wave has to travel to correct this.
