correct, it had a blown head gasket. I was pulling into town and it started making a loud clicking noise. pulled over right away and opened my radiator because I knew it was dry so I wasn't worried about water splashing out, and the dam thing was dry, smoke was coming out of the heads. my mechanic told me its gna be pricy either way, if I were to fix the blown head gasket or get a rebuilt engine. fixing the head gaskets was gna cost almost as much as a rebuilt motor plus I didn't want to repair the top end and still have the bottom end with 215k miles I said **** it the hell with it the whole thing its coming out and putting a fresh motor in it. that way I know its gna be reliable for a long time with proper maintenance, I learned from my mistake. my mechanic told me to sell it, its not worth fixing but I was like nope that's not an option. even if its gna cost more than the value of the truck im still gna pay no matter what. its sentimental value, got it when I was a junior in high school. plus I love my truck, its part of who I am
so wait, it had a blown head gasket and you kept driving it or? head gaskets are not that hard to replace.
