T3 Coming out with new Sub??

Your description of 'it wont start moving unless you have 20kw' simply doesn't make sense. That's approx 25 horsepower worth of energy, just to make it move at all? but it is suppose to be capable of moving with enough force to do 180+ with, presumably, less than 3 trillion watts? My guess is there is an exaggeration going on here, and a 5kw amplifier would move the thing. But who knows maybe not, that one big reason why nobody has bothered making a 5" coiled motor before. Its not like it's a new idea... 'oh wow a 5" coil why didn't I think of that'. But lets see if they can make it work.
Anyone who understands how much power is behind 25 horsepower knows your statement simply cant be true. Is it made of lead?
c'mon, your a smart guy. Ever see how a compression driver works?

I rember a few of the t3 treads. Talk about some flaming going on in those threads. I doubt I will ever buy any t3 products thanks to those threads. However, I see several other manufacturers (sp?) in here. I'd like to hear they're thought on the needing 20k to get moving. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

guy overseas is testing one in an extreme car and has been doing over 180 dB in IASCA events.

Ah, so again you are just stating from hear-say not from direct testing that you have done (just like the class A amps that you heard were awesome but actually never heard)

Interesting. How much do you get ? Seriously, percentage or just some money off when you buy stuff?

New funky pups are coming out and will do about 181 with 20,000 watts. I haven't seen them or heard them, but this guy 2,000 miles away told me all about it. Ok, he didn't tell me, but this paper I read from the owner said something like that.

New amps are like the Arc Audio amps.

I do not get paid. I am friendly with JD and I am a part of T3 competition team.

You dont have to believe me or listen at all. Just wait till the competition season gets going and you will see the numbers come in.

some info
The existing TSNS shared the same basket design as the SS XXX, that is the only part they shared.

The spider on the TSNS is a proprietary design tooled exclusively for T3 and has never been used on anyother sub.

The new sub lines will be renamed and the equivelant to the T through TSNS will all have carbon fiber cones, custom coils tooled exclusively by T3 and will all be musical.

The Machine will be for SPL burps only and can have a custom tuned BL.

It has a 5" coil and is only useful when you can put 20K plus watts to it.

The Machine already exists in a couple test cars but I do not have any pics as T3 will not release any to me.
hmmm sounds like the long awaited oogie monster

Compression drivers work by being excited, and then running on their own power, like an engine? Im afraid your analogy will need more explaining.
No, not true at all.

A compression driver uses compression to achieve high efficiency or high SPL.

The radiating surface or cone is much larger than the opening through which the sound radiates. This corrects the loading difference between the vibrating cone and the air in front of it.

Think of a tornado horn without the horn.
