looks like the public schools failed on another one lolu guys are so funny here, half of you dont know shit about anything, you just hear something from a friend who heard something from a friend.just about every subwoofer company uses alittle something from another company, weather its basket design, motor structure, whatever.as for waiting over a year, hmmmm thats a tough one,i would be getting my $$$$ back if thats the case,i didnt have to wait more then a couple weeks.Well when i get my machines i will post pics for you guys to drool over, while your still listening to your funky pups and sony explodes doing 184db legal, hahaha you guys kill me
Funny, anytime someone mentions T3 in a thread everyone jumps all over it and hijacks the thread to bash them. I've never used T3 but have talked to JD a couple times about buying them and he seemed pretty cool to deal with. All the loudest competitors here in the Northeast are running T3's and have almost no problems with them, takes some time to get recones on the 15's lately but thats it. None of them ever get free gear like someone posted on here, they all pay for subs and recones. T3 has used a lot of parts from other subs, but they aren't alone either. I run Fi's and they share parts with several other companies too, and I don't see people bashing them. They buy their parts from the same warehouse that a lot of custom sub builders buy their stuff from. I've had better responses from T3 on product questions than Fi ever has, Fi's customer service sucks compared with T3. I run Fi's because of the power and space requirements I needed. But if it was a choice on products alone and not customer service I'd be running T3's, I might switch for next season. All the T3's I've seen so far have been **** loud and hit bigger numbers than other subs, this is using the same power and enclosures. Just by swapping out some MTX's a friend of mine gained 3 db's when he dropped in his T3 TSNS's, he gained one more db when the coils were changed. A 4 db gain by only changing subs is **** good, I could see the same thing happening if he were to drop in some DD Z's, but who has the money for those.
built for high SPL and high powered burp cars only. Its a purpose built sub and there will probably only be like 50 built anyway.
Lots of companies do stuff like that. Its basically for bragging and advertising.
That I haven't done, so I can't really say how difficult he is after the sale. The T3 competitors around here haven't had any complaints other than taking too long for recones, but that was beyond JD's control since his supplier was out of recones.Ok, so he is pretty cool when your talking about BUYING. Try having that converstaion after you have bought something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Im so sick of the 'everyone uses the same parts anyway' excuse. There is a BIG difference between ordering up 10,000 Chinese 12-spoke baskets just like everyone else.... and directly copying a proprietary frame design that is NOT for sale to other manufacturers. eD tried to claim "so what, everyone runs the same frames anyway" excuse when they got caught stealing patented technology too.Funny, anytime someone mentions T3 in a thread everyone jumps all over it and hijacks the thread to bash them. This is why it is unlike anything you have ever seen before. It doesnt start out making 3 dB, that would be impossible.how are you going to win SPL contests if it doest move until past 20,000 watts... so it makes like 3dB above nothing at 40,000 watts, 6dB past nothing at 80,000 watts..... how many watts are needed?
How loud did it get the last time you tested it?This is why it is unlike anything you have ever seen before. It doesnt start out making 3 dB, that would be impossible.
Think if a monster truck engine. They are very hard to crank and need 2 optimas just to start them. But once they are started, they make about 1600hp.
Your description of 'it wont start moving unless you have 20kw' simply doesn't make sense. That's approx 25 horsepower worth of energy, just to make it move at all? but it is suppose to be capable of moving with enough force to do 180+ with, presumably, less than 3 trillion watts? My guess is there is an exaggeration going on here, and a 5kw amplifier would move the thing. But who knows maybe not, that one big reason why nobody has bothered making a 5" coiled motor before. Its not like it's a new idea... 'oh wow a 5" coil why didn't I think of that'. But lets see if they can make it work. This is why it is unlike anything you have ever seen before. It doesnt start out making 3 dB, that would be impossible.

i c... im just trying to think of this in terms of acoustics not monster trucks... pretty much when you double the power you add 3dB. so maybe 20,000 watts is pretty loud, and then 80,000 would be pretty loud + 6?This is why it is unlike anything you have ever seen before. It doesnt start out making 3 dB, that would be impossible.
