System tuning

My system consists of a Kenwood KVT 516 HU, a Kenwood 750 watt amp that is pushing 4-6.5 Polk speakers and 2 Polk dome tweeters. My sub setup is 2-10 inch kickers in a thunderform box that has a built in amp pushing 250 watts. The sub amp has only a gain control and the crossover control. The amp pushing my other speakers has high and low pass filters as well as gain and crossover control. My head unit has crossover controls as well. I am not sure how each one should be set. Do i leave the crossovers on the headunit at the thru setting or somewhere in between. what about the sub crossover on the headunit. should it be set on the thru setting or somewhere in between. if anyone has any information on the proper setup i would really appreciate it. thanks

The sub amplifier propably has a fixed xover freq. but as for as your amp on your mid range and tweeters, I assume you have them hooked up in a passive xover, and you can set it to about a 100-150 Hz highpass. Your HU crossovers are really not all that big of a deal but you can play with them until it sounds good to you. To be honest you can play with all filters to see what you like just make sure you dont set them outside of the frequency response of the speakers
