HELP I just wanna listen to my system...WTH does ATT off mean??????

Ok, so I have my new X-695 installed....well so I thought...PS I've double checked all wiring

My HU keeps flashin ATT OFF and the sound fades down and then back up where the light turns off....repeat, repeat, repeat....what could this be? It is a refirb'd HU from sonic express, should I send it back-could it be defective or is this user error? There is nothing in the owners manual about this troubleshooting....HELP

it means attenuation, meaning it should get quieter with it on.

OK, so why does my HU keep turning the attenuation off/on by itself???

Nope only the factory which was working fine....should I send back and ask for a new one?

Yeah, that feature is for if you have a phone call or talking to someone or for whatever reason it drops the volume without you using the knob. You hit the button again to resume to where you were at.

Well, I went back out there clipped the mute wire and it work perfect now! I may try to reconnect it and make sure the adapter from the factory amp is hitting all prongs correctly......I was told by multiple people on here refurbished unit from the producer are legit......

Most refurbs are, but you have to think its still a refurb which means its been repaired. And repairs can always go wrong, especially with electronics.

I agree, and was hesitant, but at the time couldn't find any new units for the price. Anyway, it might be user error since disconnecting the mute fixed it. I'll play with it later and you guys know what's up.

SAME THING HAPPENS after checking all wires...but system sounds great when the mute wire is cut off! The remote wasn't working, so I am prolly just gonna return the unit and WAIT.......

FYI, got a call from sonic electronix dude today and he just told me to clip off the mute wiring the HU is a boss and does it all automatically through it's BT function....legit! Remote needed a battery as refurb units just come w/o sleeve thing. However, I still have no radio signal and no one has an answer for why...I'll just roll without....I have mp3, pandora, iheart, etc....
