system powering down???

hi. I just finished wiring up my eq. The whole system worked fine before. Now my deck keeps comming up with a "code off" message every once and a while and shutting everything down. I did run new wires from my speaker amp to the front and rears, but I don't SEE a problem anywhere. Any one have any idea what might be doing this? Sometimes it seems like the system loses power but not actually shuts down too, everything goes a little quiter, but then comes back up in volume, when this happens there is a slight bit of distortion as well. and help would be greatly apprectiated.

no the eq is connected to a seperate power wire that comes directly from the battery

found the problem. Apparently when you enlist a buddy's help to rewire, you should check his work, even if he know's what he's doing. Turns out a wire came off inside one of my door panels and was grounding out every once and a while. I picked it up as soon as I noticed one of my front speakers was louder than the other
