Question, how are you liking that Elite 59AVi? I was thinking about getting the 79AVi, but was wondering how good the Pioneer's are in general.

The Pioneer is totally kicking *** and taking names. The sound quality is awesome. THe video looks 100x better than my sony did. Also, it works like something should, it makes sence how the remote functions and how it operates in general. I am VERY happy with it...

Out of curiousity, did you buy yours new or used? Can I ask how much? I was trying to find one used and It's proving to be difficult, but I can get one new, $800, a little steep for me right now.

New, but it was a store demo in this little home theater shop here in cincy that I get everything from. I payed $650 but they retail for 1k and that's what most ppl would pay for it. If you can find a 79 for $800 that's a pretty good deal. Are you looking at local shops or internet? Because if you go in and BS in the local shops they will sometimes cut you a deal.

NO, they are loud but not ultra loud. What they are good at is clarity and depth. They are some of the most natural sounding speakers I have ever heard and I have been listening to high end speakers since I was a young child.
