actually that is patent infringement. Those ribs in the corner are patented by kicker...Im sure kicker is aware of this as they are usually on top of people ripping their designs off. Im sure there are a few lawyers that have talked to Legacy and the chinese buildhouse that produces these subs.

As it has been said before. you cannot patent a shape (square woofer) but you can patent the technology that you use to make a "better" square woofer.

All it takes is a different type of rubber, neoprene, whatever material the surround is, and the patent isnt touched.
