System not working

I installed an MTX 1200 Watt amp and two 12" MTX subs a couple years ago and they bumped hard, but a few weeks ago the system started cutting in an out until now it does not work at all. I had the amp looked at and it is fine so I'm kind of confused, I'm not an expert with these things so not sure what to do. There is absolutely no sound that comes through the subs but the amp seems to still turn on when the car is on, any suggestions?

if the subs were blown wouldn't they still make some kind of sound though?

Id check the coils. They stiff or make rubbing noises?

I'd guess its a problem with your rca's or your deck.

Check the ground, they corrode after a while especially after a few years. May have been raised up enough by oxidation that the connection is shotty.

my car battery died a few months ago and I had to jump it, would this have any effect on my system?

you can try metering the subwoofers make sure they aren't blown. or take a 9 volt batterie and test them see if they move. The easiest way to test if the input pf the amp is good is a Tone Generator if you plug it into the amp and there is sound try doing it from behind the radio threw your rcas and see if it still works. or test it with a meter.

Are you sure that you have your subs wired up at an ohm your amp can handle?

besides rewiring my whole system whats the best way to test each connection wire, i.e. remote, ground, power, rca to find out which may need to be replaced?

I want to make sure my problems don't have to do with the initial setup, for my system what gauge power/ground and fuse should I be using for a mtx 600w rms mono amp?
