System not wanging like it should

Hey i jus got my install all finished up and it seems to not be as loud as it should. First off my zapco cuts out when i turn my clarion up to 17 on the volume that can be due to a lack of power going to it i believe. I have like an 80A fuse on the zapco and my Orion 2500d dual power wires share a 200A fuse block. My problem is that i have turn my gain all the way up on my amp and turn the SW volume all the way up on my HU to receve the sound im looking for out of my subs, and im using the remaote gain to control the volume. Im not tryin to fry my subs by having my gain all the way up. It may be that my wiring is not right on my subs because i didnt do it my dad wanted to help me out so he decided to wire the subs up himself to save me some time while i was at school and work.

My previous setup was a 18" stroker and it wanged harder than these 2 12's, and my gain was like 3/4 of the way up. My setup is supposibly at 2 ohms my dad said , but was just wondering if anybody could lead me in the right direction of what to check first and if anybody hasand info on what my amp and HU should be set at that will help me out a lot so i can decifer weather my sub wiring is off.

Solve the lack of power issue...how do you expect it to get loud when it's not able to perform up to its potential? It takes power to make power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

hey man tell me how your 360.4 is hooked up. mine was doin the same thing when i had my cdt comps hooked to it bridged. i believe that it was cuttin out cuz the amp bridged is only stable a 4ohm and some comp set are 4ohm nominal but will drop below that when played. i even went as far as sending my amp to zapco for them to check it out and they said it was no problems. so my best guess is that it's sensitive to the impedance ratings.

yea i got my zapco bridged. It should still be able to handle im guessing, but the amp sounds awesome better that what i had before SQ wise. I hooked up the symblilink and the little sox says im not clipping but i will check it again

yeah i had the sybililnk hooked too, it'll say that it's not clippin. the only thing i could come up with was that it was running too low under the 4ohm stability. i plan on trying these dayton mids on the amp to see if that is the correct answer. since the dayton mids are 8ohm and i'll still be bridging the amp. i figure if it plays fine then i'm right, if not then i've got no clue. cuz zapco had my amp with them for about 4days worth of testing and me explaining to them what was happening(same exact thing as yours).

Well my speakers are at 4 ohms so i dont know what would be the problem maybe i just got the front and rear wired to each other to the amp. I might just take it up to audio advantage and see what they say

anybody else wit any info
You can see if one of your speakers is shorting out at a higher volume. Remove the speaker wiring on the amp and try using a test speaker. If it also shuts off then I would say that you might have a bad amp. If it stays running, then I would say that you might have a bad speaker in your system.

Just my .02 cents... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
