System in Mustang

For SQ, as the person above me stated, a sealed 12 is usually a better and cheaper route than anything else. A friend of mine has a single Type-R 12" in a (very) small sealed box in his trunk of an older acura. The bass isnt audible outside the car (wont get his stuff jacked) but inside the car, it gives clear, crisp, deep bass. Two 12s, if you want a balanced sound through mids and highs too, will probably be overkill.

Brands for SQ... I would recommend massive audio and pioneer. Pioneer has some good 12s with single voice coils, which is fine for SQ. Massive audio low-end will give you enough power and SQ.

i have a 03 mustang.i have 2 12 audiobahns in a sealed bow.really good bass for a mustang.suprised by the bahns.but for 500 u can find some good stuff in the sale ads on here.im changin my setup and im goin with 2 12w7 or 1 13w7.dont know yet.

how bout an FI Q single 12
That would be good. Port it. Tune it low. RE SE would be good. AA Avalanche 12 as well. There's lots of the that would prolly fit the bill.

As far as Mustang trunks I think I've got the most out of mine that I've seen. 5 cubes at 28hz. Somewhere around 8 cubes gross. I don't have my box dimensions right here...
