Hey guys. I am completely new to the audio world and need of some help. I have around $700 to spend on a 10" or 12" sub, amp, box, and wiring. I am open to any brand. I would like the sub to have good sq but also have some spl also. I drive a celica and use my trunk, so nothing too big here. I just tried looking up info for myself and got overwhelmed. I'm open to anything.

I got the same hifonics... and I must say, its good if U wanna power one sub, Im gonna either

1) get another for my other sub

2) Get the 2006D version [2000 watt]

Cool. Thanks for the help guys. Another quick question. I am now looking for a headunit to replace my old alpine 9423 (i think thats the right number). I am looking for one ~$300 with i-pod capable. I want the best sound quality and if its got crazy cool lights and stuff thats cool too. Just want the best. I had some people recommend me the Pioneer 7800, Eclipse 8445, and JVC SHX750. By no means are those the only ones I am looking into either. I just wanted to see what you guys might recommend. Thanks.

Is there a specific Alpine, or just one of the new models? Cus as far as Alpine, I was looking at the 9856 model, unless the ones above that are drastically better. Any reason for that amp? Because I had a friend/audio shop owner recommend me the db drive PD2000.1 amp for $215, but I had never heard of them but he says that he has yet to have someone return one. I had narrowed it down between the one you listed and the one he recommmended me. But if that Hifonics would be a whole lot better, then i'll just get that one. And on the Pioneer, any difference besides cosmetically between the one you pointed out, and the DEH-P880PRS. And on the rlp, why not go with dual 4 ohm and just parallel wire it to 2 ohm?

PLease give more info on how you would be able to obtain a db drive pd2000????? i would be very interested....Help a brother out..i signed up on this forum just to ask you this question but now that i am starting to read all the threads, this place is kinda growin on me.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

i would hold up on the rlp bro...

try a Q instead...its alittle bit cheaper, can handle more power, and bbm's test shows its superior to the rlp...

i owned the rlp and i think you can do better for the money...its a nice sub, but theres better value out there...

if you can find one for $200 shipped then i say its worth it but for being the same price as the Q, go for that first...
