something aint right ... im leaning towards box/ground/amp... i got two type rs in a generic sealed pre fab... on a 400w fosgate at 2ohms and i cant complain lol.... i was actually surprised... lol
OK Sanded Ground and now have the box firing at the back of the car. no difference. Maybe box?doesnt matter its all part of a proper install which a lot of things you already have done wrong, improper ground will cause future problems. along with current voltage issues.
Not sure where you're getting your information but this is simply not true.it restricts flow of current to your amp. You are getting less dims but a lot less power at the amp At heavy voltage drops, you are starving the amp of voltage with the cap.
If you would watch that test it confirms what you say is not true. So it looks like you do need to be educated on how they work.I don't need you to educate me on capacitors bud. I'm not saying audio capacitors fix any of the myriad of problems they're marketed for. I'm saying his statement is not true. Electrically/Physically that is not how capacitors work.
If you can provide any technical data then I would more than happy to entertain this discussion. Posting a link to a half-assed youtube experiment is not technical data (There's a reason they disabled comments on that video). Ideal* Capacitors do not consume energy they only store it, so the idea that they could constantly restrict current flow is absurd. If you would watch that test it confirms what you say is not true. Any links to conclusive technical data?If i'm wrong I would like to know what it really does. Rather than getting info based off a EMF video. If you can provide any technical data then I would more than happy to entertain this discussion. His statement about the 'right' and 'wrong' way to wire a cap leads me to believe he doesn't have any idea what he's talking about either. A capacitor is wired in parallel with battery/amp/etc meaning where it's connected has very little effect on what it's meant to do which is be a quick supply of current during heavy draw.
Again, I'm not making an argument for the use of capacitors but I will make an argument against false information about their effects.
*I realize there is no such thing as an ideal capacitor and they will all have some impedance and leakage however this amount is negligible when referring to the scale in question.
most likely your amp and head unit settings are out of whack or your box tuning inside your car does not work. EAch system sounds different in different cars.OK Sanded Ground and now have the box firing at the back of the car. no difference. Maybe box?
