System Choice

I am trying to spend between $250 to $300 on a subwoofer (s) and a box for my car. I like to have pretty good sound quality, but also the ability to cause some rattle. I am just trying to find what most would think would be a sensible system for a mid-size car. If you have any recommendations can you give me a price range also.
