this is how it went down... today i went and bored my bud's 15 eclipse TI because my XXX in being reconed.. well i hooked it up and i was on my way... well after about an hour playing with it not too loud but pretty loud.. my amps shut off..(JL 300/2 and mtx 81000D)weird soo i pulled over, to check and see if i blew my fuse...not it wasn't blown so i started to check all my wired and then i notice that my remote that i have split for my to amps... was kinda loose. so i fixed that prob and when i turn it up it cuts off again.. and my sub makes this thumping sound and sub amp its kinda hot...so rite not i just said bump the **** thing and now tryin to figure out whats goin on....so thats when i hope u guys can jump in and help me out....oo yea and im runing 4g wire to bouth....and yes i did do a search...cuz i no u guys hate useless treads...

what impedance are you running. You may have be running below what the amp can handle.

i think its a daul 4 ohm sub and my amp is 2 ohm stable...."

i just went out there to move my car and now my amp turns on and the off and my mtx the power like blinks alot...

its piss me off....i haven't had bass in 7 months..and now i get this grrrrrrrrrr...

where are the gains at?

could have a short on the speaker wire.

maybe its not a dual 4ohm.

check it all, go out n freeze ur azz off hehe.

my gains are half way on my sub and mids/hi amp...now my his come on and off and my sub amp dont come on.....geting really pist now....

Check your fuse. It might be faulty but not blown. My friends did something similar and after I ran new RCAs and a new remote someone suggested a new fuse.

do you have just one run of 4g from the bat for both amp?

your wire is suppose to go from bat to amp but if you are using a single 4g wire for both amps....thats simply not enough

Thats what I thought.... why didnt you put in some1/0? who installed the amps? what size fuse is under the hood?

i have a friend that does installin in Maryland, i goin to see him in dec and he's goin to redo my system..if u can get the bugs out before i get there....
