when it happened 2 me it was because i downloaded some player to be able play certain files and aperantly it was corrupt...hence my computer caught the **** trojan....it took me like 3 days to get it off

It all started today when i was checking my space friend requests and this adult content thing came up, and i clicked on it thinking it would just show the profile thats when i got all this crap popping up, and every once n a while ill get a page that pops up with ******* alll over it.. Not to cool when my GF is on it

Norton will....If the trojan gets to far into system32 files will corrupt boot files then you will have to re-formatt.....Boot files can be repaired but can be a mo fo to repair. I would suggest run ad-aware and see if it detects...I know norton will....If you can't find it then you can't delete it.....Don't push it off....

I have the pccillin net security pack

av security

spyware protection

firewall

fraud

wifi monitoring

I did 2 scans and all it picks up is spyware.. no viruses found .. I get a little yellow triangle in the corner with a ( ! ) saying it, and then it brings me to A IE page with some antivirus crap, that they want me to buy, **** adware,, Is this harmfull at all or what do i need to do to get rid of it

That is a free system scan by symantec (Norton). It should detect. If not you will need to reformatt or try to repair using os disk.

I eneded up downloadin like 2 other antiviruses....i had one made by symantec (the people who make norton) for my college, AVG, and Ashampoo....then I started the computer in safe mode and ran comlete scans. it told me mostly where to find the files but some of them were EXTEMELY hard to delete
