I'd venture to say the R will spank the RL-S in nearly any normal setup, maybe the RL-P too (rlp beat the rls that is)?... i'd imagine the S can wang with alot of power @ a nice low note, however.

and crank the gain? lol..even then, the factory headunit cuts back the bass signal as the volume goes up...so all i'd get is a really loud sub at lower volumes that the factory highs couldn't even begin to keep up with..lol...

So Spkrman you are saying that the R's rated at 750 RMS can handle more power than the L7's rated at 1000 RMS. Because i want this setup to last me a while and i would hate to put too much power to either one and blow them. So out of the R's and the L7's which would give me alot of output and sound decent?

The R's aren't rated 750rms... it's 500 IIRC.

Go with the type R's if you want to sound decent. I hate the sound of L7's

bass goes down as volume goes up... so make it so ure subs get loud before hte volume gets high... im talkin just for the meter.

if they dont drop the hz filter i dont see the need to drop it and thats not even in a panda lol. if the port has a huge opening im sure the tuning can be switched with ease not bad for a street a car lol

go with the R's.....ive owned all of those subs except the SX. The L7's blew up way too easily. i did everything possible to those subs. oh and i couldn't get them to play low to save their lives either. they just wouldn't do it. but i still
