SX's L7's or Type R's

i was talking in pairs. above 50hz that they handle quite a bit more though. course i seen some go too but with like 5k on them lol . that street a car has an rf 3000 bd on each sub

yuh but i also know guys who do 154+ that got through maybe 1 pr a year lol you are right about the tuning but all you need to do is drop a port inside the port to tune it lower then take it out to belch it lol

Its really a toss up IMO. I would go with either the SX's or the L7's. R's can handle the power, but you gotta know what you are doing.

Ok ok, ill just pick one... I say the L7's. They get stupid loud.

Kinda wierd... I have owned in this order:

10L7

12L7

RESX15

2 12 Type R's

151.9 with a cracked cone... or was that the torn spider?
who knows... they were always louder blown???
the 151.9 was with a misaligned coil and a torn to shit spider //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif the cracked cone did a 151.2-3....and the cracked cone pulled off a 128.6 in drive by //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif broken L7's are louder than good ones.

go with the R's.....ive owned all of those subs except the SX. The L7's blew up way too easily. i did everything possible to those subs. oh and i couldn't get them to play low to save their lives either. they just wouldn't do it. but i still
My L715's drop low low..and if they keep blowing on you then your pushing them way too hard..I have a mtx 81000D on each of my L7's and they pound like no other.

wow..u alpine guys are funny..hehe (no offense intended, but u guys attack in packs, lol, and to me, it's funny.) now, i know u guys are talking from experience, so this isn't an arguement..

last night i know of a pair of L7's that took several burps at 8kwrms+. afterwards, when i checked them out (they were brand new), they were just as tight as when we put them in the box. and no funny smells either. this done from about 45hz-53hz. so they can be tough, but with L7's and that much power, i think it's hit and miss. i've seen they go after alot less.

155.5 in street a? was something...the friggin europeans just did a 156.7 in street a. one 12 in a bass reflex box. bastages...not doggin terry, he'll probably take street a this year, but damum, a 156.7 off one 12?

oh well, i'm off to head to the shop..chasing a 157 is hard work, lol.

and mark, i won't make sunday. see above. as well as the regular job put me on midnights, which starts on sundays. it's always something...

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif

8kw reactive?

impedence rise is a bish... a dirty rotten bish //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
